§ 5-306. Transient sales by holder of general business license.

  • Any business that currently holds a General Business License pursuant to Section 5-301 of this Code and wished to conduct door-to-door or transient sales on behalf of that business shall be permitted to do so under the following conditions:

    A.

    Said business must be current on the payment of all General Business License fees due to the City.

    B.

    The owner or authorized representative of said business shall apply to the City Clerk for a separate license authorizing such transient activity. The fee for this separate license will be thirty dollars ($30.00) per applicant, and said license shall be valid for not more than six (6) months from the date of issuance.

    C.

    No license under the provisions of this section shall be used by any person or entity other than the one to whom it was issued.

    D.

    Persons engaged in the activities permitted by a license issued pursuant to this section shall exhibit that license immediately upon request.

    E.

    Persons engaged in the activities permitted by a license issued pursuant to this section shall be subject to all of the terms and requirements regarding Transient Vendors as set for in Article II of this chapter.
